The name Hat and Beard comes from a track on Eric Dolphy's seminal 1964 record Out to Lunch!

Out to Lunch! is widely considered one of the greatest avant garde jazz albums ever.

Whether we will become one of the greatest avant garde publishing houses ever remains to be seen, but join us for the journey anyway, one jazzy little step at a time.
